My name is Gerry Iannacchino and I am the proprietor of La Villa Cane Corso.
In the late 1960's my parents and I migrated from Italy for North America. I left behind family and friends that had a great impact upon my youth in Italy. The traditions of my early years have remained in my heart. From the civility of family meals around a table adorned with our own homemade Avellinese styled food products to the corsos in my backyard I will continue to be a traditionalists. This philosophy will always be what inspires me to continue breeding the closest replica of Cane Corsos revered where I grew up.
I made my home in Ontario amongst other newly arrived Italian immigrants and immediately immersed my self in the automotive world. Since my upbringing was of a rural flavor in the Province of Avellino my love of animals and the outdoors was simply not going to be oppressed no matter how limited my funds were. In my early twenties I began to train German Shepherd dogs for law enforcement in my spare time. As my automotive business grew and money became less of an obstacle I knew I could turn my attention to the dogs raised by my uncle and present throughout my youth. Those were Cane Corsos. And with the help of my family and friends in several provinces in Campania the long and costly journey of trying to breed good working Cane Corsos began.
Today I am proud to have the rustic dogs of my youth in my own backyard. Dogs that I am proud to say should be left out of any show ring.
